Survey Design

Strata Research conducted this independent research study to probe American workers' views on numerous attributes and impressions about organized labor, corporate America, and the Employee Free Choice Act.

Strata Research surveyed 1,559 American workers between January 8 and February 5, 2009. Sampling reflects a nationally representative sample of the American workforce, those currently employed or unemployed but actively looking for work, based on data provided by the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics. Figures for age, industry, sector, and union membership were weighted to reflect their distribution in the workforce population.

Approximately one-half of the interviews were conducted online and one-half were conducted by phone (landline and cellular).
